NPC Troop 8 is a boy led troop sponsored by Naperville Presbyterian Church. Troop 8 provides a traditional scouting program with the historical scout emphasis on duty to God, and encourages parental involvement in all activities.The Troop meets weekly during the school year Tuesday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Naperville Presbyterian Church. Troop 8 has a strong camping program which includes ten weekends during the year, a week at summer camp, and a week (or more) at a high adventure camp for older boys.
Troop 8 currently has 62 members, including highschoolers, Middle schoolers, and even Elementary students. It has one of the highest rates in the state for getting young boys to Eagle, and is proud of the wide range of Activities it offers. Scouts have an opportunity to participate in Skiing, Cinematography, Archery, Silo Climbing, Rifle and Shotgun Shooting, Canoeing, Scuba Diving, Hiking, Geocaching, Dune Climbing, Iron Chef Cooking, Swimming, and many others.
